Neha Singh Rathore’s sarcastic post on a viral Varanasi video targeting PM Modi triggers political storm over women empowerment and safety claims.

India

Folk singer Neha Singh Rathore has sparked a fresh political controversy after taking a sharp sarcastic dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a viral video from Varanasi.

In her post, Rathore mocked the government’s “women’s empowerment” narrative, suggesting that the incident from the Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency exposes a gap between official claims and ground reality on women’s safety.

Her comments quickly triggered heated reactions on social media, with supporters and critics clashing over whether her remarks highlight genuine concerns or deliberately target the government with political sarcasm.

The viral video continues to fuel debate, adding to the ongoing political friction over women’s safety, law and order, and governance in Varanasi.
