In a meeting of collectors held at the Telangana State Secretariat, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued key directives to district collectors. He emphasized that ward members, sarpanches, corporators, and mayors must necessarily participate in the 99-day programs initiated by the government. Revanth Reddy suggested conducting special training programs for local public representatives in district headquarters.
He stated that awareness should be raised regarding solar electricity usage in villages and encouraged the promotion of solar pump sets for farmers. He ordered that details of beneficiaries of government schemes be disclosed in village and ward meetings. He mentioned that measures should be taken to ensure that services from the 35 government medical colleges in the state are fully accessible to the public.
Revanth Reddy instructed that facial recognition should be implemented in all welfare schemes to eliminate ineligible beneficiaries and that the transportation department's data should be fully transitioned online. He called for eye tests for drivers and the establishment of a special WhatsApp number for complaints regarding potholes on roads. He ordered strict action against garbage dumping on Outer Ring Roads and service roads.
He emphasized the need for timely payment of midday meal bills in schools, increased monitoring of hostel registrations, measures to curb drug use in educational institutions, and actions to ensure that psychologists are present in every private and corporate educational institution. The Chief Minister directed the collectors to conduct land survey examinations and provide guidance to farmers on suitable crops, along with facilitating the use of the urea app and conducting field demonstrations on the benefits of nano urea.
