Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications (IRISET), Secunderabad organized a blood donation camp on March 14, 2026, at its premises as part of its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers, trainees and staff members of the institute, who voluntarily came forward to donate blood in support of the noble cause. The initiative was aimed at creating awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraging voluntary service for the benefit of society. A total of 60 persons participated in the programme. The blood donation camp was conducted in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society and the South Central Railway Central Hospital under proper medical supervision. Sharad Kumar Srivastava, Director General of IRISET, appreciated the participants for their spirit of voluntary service and highlighted that a single unit of donated blood can help save multiple lives. He stated that such initiatives reflect the institute’s commitment not only to technical excellence but also to humanitarian values and social responsibility.
