Revanth Reddy has directed officials to prepare a comprehensive action plan to position Hyderabad as a model sports city for the entire nation. At a high-level review meeting with representatives of the Telangana Sports Hub, the Chief Minister emphasized that upgrading Gachibowli Stadium into one of the world’s finest sporting venues is a top priority

The CM announced that foundation stone for the stadium’s redevelopment will be laid on June 2, marking Telangana Formation Day.
Plans include world-class infrastructure, with a helipad facility to allow athletes direct access from the airport to the stadium.
Authorities have already appointed an architect, and a detailed blueprint is expected soon.
The government aims to ensure long-term financial sustainability of the stadium, avoiding future economic constraints.
