The South Central Railway Vijayawada Division ticket checking staff have once again demonstrated their commitment to passenger service and humanitarian approach. On April 5, a pregnant woman traveling with family on Train No. 13352 Alappuzha–Dhanbad Express began experiencing labor pains shortly after crossing Annavaram Station.
Noticing the situation, the family members contacted the on-duty ticket checking staff, and TTI/Amenities from Vijayawada, Ms. G. Jyothi, responded immediately to provide the necessary assistance. She coordinated with the commercial controller to arrange for 108 emergency medical services. Given the urgency of the situation, a special halt was arranged for the train at Elamanchili Station. Subsequently, with the coordination of the ticket checking staff, both the mother and the newborn were safely transported to the government hospital via a 108 ambulance.
Authorities have reported that both the mother and the baby are currently safe. Ms. G. Jyothi, Mr. Bipul Kumar, and Mr. Juber Khan played key roles in this service. On this occasion, Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Mohit Sonakia and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager B. Prashanth praised the staff for their efficiency and service-oriented attitude.
