In a significant anti-corruption crackdown, officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have arrested Endowments Department Assistant Commissioner Kalingiri Shanti in connection with a disproportionate assets case. According to ACB sources, multiple complaints were received alleging that the अधिकारी had amassed assets far exceeding her known sources of income. Acting on these inputs, ACB teams conducted simultaneous searches at her residence and other associated locations. During the raids, officials reportedly uncovered substantial evidence pointing to irregular financial transactions and unaccounted wealth. Preliminary findings suggest that the assets identified are disproportionate to her official earnings, raising serious concerns over misuse of position and corruption. Following the searches, Kalingiri Shanti was taken into custody for further interrogation. ACB officials stated that the investigation is ongoing and efforts are underway to trace the full extent of the assets, including benami properties and financial links. Authorities are also examining documents, bank records, and property details seized during the operation. Further arrests and disclosures are likely as the probe deepens. The ACB reiterated its commitment to tackling corruption in public offices and warned that strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
