On Wednesday, senior officials conducted a field inspection in the Durgaghat area with the intention of providing better facilities for devotees visiting the Sri Durga Malleshwara Swamy Temple located on Indrakeeladri.

The special grade sub-collector (EO) Sinha Naik and executive engineer Ramadevi jointly inspected the surroundings of the ghat. Officials discussed the measures to be taken to manage the crowd of devotees effectively. Plans were formulated to improve the existing underground pathways and establish new routes to ensure that devotees performing holy baths in the Krishna River can easily reach the ghat. Officials suggested preparing new routes for going to and returning from the ghat to prevent congestion during peak times. Special attention was given to the minimum facilities and security arrangements required for devotees at the bathing ghats.

Officials stated that these changes would be implemented on a permanent basis to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the large number of devotees expected in the future. Staff from the temple engineering department and other officials participated in this inspection.
