Meeting of the Dharma Karta Council in Srisailam... Key decisions on the facilities for devotees.

In the meeting of the Shrisailam Devasthanam Board of Trustees, key decisions were made regarding the convenience of devotees, the master plan, the development of the Kalabhairava temple, and tenders.

The 5th meeting of the Board of Trustees at the Srisailam Temple was held on Wednesday. The meeting, chaired by the President of the Temple Board of Trustees, Sri Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu, was attended by the Executive Officer of the Temple, Sri M. Srinivas Rao, members of the Board of Trustees, and special invitees.

A total of 28 items were discussed in this meeting, of which 23 items were approved. Four items were deferred, and one item was rejected. The meeting extensively discussed the facilities that need to be provided for the general devotees. A detailed project report was comprehensively reviewed to finalize the master plan designed with the needs of the next 30 years in mind. It was decided to give top priority to facilities such as dormitory construction, toilets, and vehicle parking areas in the master plan. Additionally, it was resolved to include the necessary constructions in the master plan to further develop the Srisailam temple as a spiritual center.

Similarly, it was decided to include aspects necessary for environmental protection and beautification of the temple in the master plan. The meeting resolved to take steps for the full development of the ancient Kalabhairava temple near Mallamma's tears. As part of administrative matters, approval was given for tenders to supply fodder for the cows in the cow conservation center. It was also decided to call for tenders for the supply of Kailasa Kankanas for devotees. A committee was formed for the design of these Kankanas, consisting of subcommittees from the Board of Trustees, Vedic staff, and temple officials.

Furthermore, the meeting decided to call for tenders for the operational charges necessary for the management of the sewage treatment plant established as part of the underground drainage system.
