Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: M. K. Stalin, the president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, held an energetic roadshow in Coimbatore on Thursday, drawing large crowds and enthusiastic party supporters. Waving to the public from an open vehicle, Stalin addressed voters along key stretches of the city, highlighting his government’s welfare initiatives and development agenda. He urged the people of Coimbatore to extend their continued support to the DMK, emphasizing inclusive growth, industrial expansion, and social justice. The Chief Minister pointed to ongoing infrastructure projects, investments in education, and schemes aimed at boosting employment opportunities in Tamil Nadu. He also took aim at opposition parties, accusing them of spreading misinformation and failing to deliver on promises in the past. Supporters lined the streets, chanting slogans and showering flower petals as the DMK leader passed through major junctions. The roadshow is seen as part of an intensified campaign push ahead of upcoming political developments in the state. Party leaders accompanying Stalin expressed confidence that the strong turnout reflects growing public support for the DMK in the western region of Tamil Nadu, traditionally considered a competitive political battleground.
