Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender has come forward to clarify recent controversies regarding deductions from his bank account for party funds. Speaking publicly, he stated that although he contested the Secunderabad parliamentary seat on behalf of the Indian National Congress, deductions were made for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) without his consent. Nagender emphasized that he never canceled his BRS membership nor did he resign from Congress. He added that party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao never asked him for any explanation, and he was never issued a party whip or asked to act against party interests. The MLA also said he has submitted all evidence supporting his stance to the Speaker and clarified that any complaints against him have been personal, not party-related. He thanked Gaddam Prasad Kumar for his decision in the matter and stressed that he is accountable only to the party leadership, denying any wrongdoing.
