Hyderabad, March 21, 2026 – In a swift crackdown, the H-FAST (Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team) of the Task Force, alongside Kulsumpura Police, raided an illegal samosa manufacturing unit in Jiyaguda, seizing contaminated food items worth approximately ₹5 lakhs and apprehending the operator.

Acting on credible intelligence, the joint team struck at 6:00 PM on March 20, 2026, at H.No. 13-4-582/A/B/30, opposite SBA Garden, Jiyaguda, under Kulsumpura Police Station limits. The unit, run by 73-year-old Abdul Rasheed, operated without FSSAI license, trade license, or fire safety clearance. Inspectors uncovered shocking unhygienic practices, including the use of spoiled boiled eggs and repeatedly reused cooking oil.
