Minor Girl Brutally Assaulted After Rejecting Relationship Proposal in Uttarpradesh

A horrific incident involving a minor girl in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district has created a sensation. The girl's family members have alleged that the young man, who had pressured her to be friends and marry him, attacked and sexually assaulted her after she rejected him. The victim had gone to her uncle's wedding with her mother on May 11. She said that while she was returning home at midnight, a young man named Atul from the village forcibly took her to a deserted area. 

The girl's family members alleged that she was severely assaulted and sexually assaulted there. After being left unconscious, the girl regained consciousness after some time, somehow reaching the house and collapsing.

 The girl's family members approached the police, who initially filed a case of simple assault. Later, when the matter came to light in the media, the police re-registered the case and conducted another medical examination of the victim.

 The police said that the latest medical report found six injuries on the body. The accused Atul has been taken into custody and action will be taken by adding strict sections based on the investigation, the officials said.
