The development of Rayanapadu Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Scheme provides relief to the congestion in Vijayawada.

The Rayana Padu railway station in the Vijayawada division is being developed under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme, according to Vijayawada Division DRM Edwin. He stated that the main purpose behind the selection of this station is to reduce the increasing congestion at the Vijayawada railway station. He mentioned that in the future, some trains may travel to Secunderabad and other destinations via Rayana Padu without stopping at Vijayawada. The selection of this area was due to its proximity to the national highway and the rapid development occurring in the surrounding areas. He also noted that the presence of historical sites like Kondapalli nearby has added special significance to this station.

By developing the station a bit away from the city of Vijayawada, it will not only reduce congestion but also make railway services more accessible to the people of nearby areas, he explained. He stated that modern facilities similar to airports have been provided at this station under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme. He mentioned that AC lounges, drinking water facilities, ticket booking counters, and comfortable seating arrangements have been established. He noted that the station has been fully designed to be accessible for differently-abled individuals. Officials urged passengers to consider these facilities as their own and to maintain cleanliness, stating that travelers will experience a modern and comfortable environment upon entering the station.
